Holiday Moscow Mule
Yule Mule aka Holiday Moscow Mule is the perfect holiday drink to share with friends and family! It’s sweet and tart, festive and refreshing.
A Yule Mule is based on the traditional Moscow Mule cocktail, and made extra festive with the addition of cranberry juice and a splash of lime. It tastes just like the holidays!
Oh, the holidays! My favorite time of the year, especially here in California. Great weather, less traffic = everyone’s happy! It’s also the perfect time to indulge on our favorite desserts and drinks. Today I’m sharing the holiday version of a Moscow Mule – a Yule Mule – that’s usually a crowd pleaser a very festive looking.
This is actually the first drink I’m sharing on the blog, mainly because I don’t usually drink anymore. Something about being 30+ and not recovering fast enough from hangovers, made me decide to cut out most alcohol – except during the holidays!
What is Yule Mule?
It’s basically a traditional Moscow Mule filled with holiday spirit. If you’re already a mule fan, you’re going to love this variation.
Moscow Mules are made with vodka, ginger beer, lime juice and mint leaves. To make it a holiday mule, just add cranberry juice, rosemary sprigs instead of mint and some extra fresh cranberries on top.
I find this cocktail very light and refreshing, which makes it really easy to drink so I only add 1 shot of vodka (I love Tito’s) at a time. You can play around with how much of each ingredient you want to add and make it yours. Some of you mentioned not loving ginger beer, so another great option would be ginger ale.
I love serving mules in a chilled copper mug – mine are from Sur La Table. You can find them pretty much anywhere; HomeGoods always has good discounts, and of course, Amazon.Â
To make it a mocktail, simply skip the vodka as ginger beer is non-alcoholic. Truth is, you won’t even notice and you’ll feel great the next day!
You can watch the step-by-step process in my stories, or follow the recipe below!
