Creamy and delicious Oat Milk Latte with Lavender Syrup to give your regular coffee a sweet dairy-free kick.
Oat Milk is the newest non-dairy milk trend out there and I’m all for it. Truth is, I’ve tried them all and Oat milk makes for the BEST lattes out there.
Creamy, rich and smooth, oat milk is having a moment for a reason. It doesn’t add an extra flavor to your coffee, and it actually makes coffee shine through even more unlike other milk alternatives. So no more nutty morning coffees for me!
If you’re ready to jump on the oat milk train, I have just the perfect recipe for you. Also, if you can’t find it at your local Whole Foods or Target, here’s a quick how-to from Minimalist Baker.
How to Make Oat Milk Latte
- Start by adding your favorite sweetener. I made mine with homemade Lavender syrup (see below!). But if you prefer sugar free, skip this step.
- Make your stovetop espresso. I use this Espresso Maker and have been using it for years. Make sure to buy high quality coffee, my favorite is Illy and you can find it pretty much anywhere.
- Froth you Oat milk. Another great thing about oat milk is that it froths pretty well, almost exactly like milk does. I’ve found that other milk alternatives don’t froth well, so this is another huger plus! I used this Nespresso Aeroccino 4 Frother.
- Top with edible lavender buds and bee pollen
