Triple Chocolate Donuts (+Vegan option)
These easy homemade baked chocolate donuts are filled with a fudgy chocolate middle and a delicious chocolate glaze. Make them regular or vegan, these are perfect for a sweet afternoon treat!
These cakey triple chocolate donuts have become my most liked post EVER! I also got tons of requests for a vegan version, so I decided to test them out and give you both options!
What I love about these donuts is that they are super easy to make and come together in minutes. They are super moist, fudgy and cakey – the perfect homemade donut. And no donut is complete without cute sprinkles!
How to make homemade chocolate donuts
This triple chocolate donut recipe is pretty straight forward. Whether you’re making the vegan or regular version, my main tip is to sift your dry ingredients! Also, don’t fill your donut cavities completely full so that they don’t overflow.
Here’s a few things you’re going to need:
- Donut pan: I got mine from Amazon and it’s pretty great. I prefer non-stick rather than silicone molds, but use what you prefer.
- If you’re making the Vegan version, you’re going to need an egg replacer. I haven’t tested it with flax eggs mostly because I don’t usually love it. However, this Bob’s Red Mill Egg Replacer is amazing and you can find it at Target!
- Sprinkles: no donut is ever complete without sprinkles! Since these were Oscars inspired I went with gold stars from Wilton. But feel free to decorate them with your favorite ones.
- Special Dark Cocoa: for that extra chocolatey taste.
- A piping bag or sandwich bag to pipe the batter into the donut pan. Fill only 3/4 full.
So, below I have 2 versions for you: Triple Chocolate Donuts, and Vegan Triple Chocolate Donuts. They both take about 10 minutes to bake! Once cooled, dunk them in the chocolate glaze and allow them to harden a
If you make either version, share them with me on Instagram using #yogaofcooking. I’d love to see your creations! xo

Thank you so much! I hope you love them!
These are delicious! They’re very light, I thought I was making more of an actual ‘cake donut’ dense consistency but it’s More like a baked cake in the shape of a donut. Still so yummy and glaze was great.
Thank you so much! So happy to hear you liked them 🙂
